We are seeking Polish Over-the-Phone Interpreters (OPI) to support our USCIS contract. Polish is a priority Eastern European language frequently requested for asylum, immigration, and naturalization interviews.
Responsibilities
Provide real-time Polish English telephonic interpretation for USCIS interviews, hearings, and official proceedings.
Interpret with accuracy, neutrality, and professionalism in immigration, legal, and administrative contexts.
Maintain confidentiality in compliance with USCIS/DHS standards.
Manage both scheduled assignments and urgent/surge requests.
Participate in training, compliance refreshers, and quality assurance reviews.
Qualifications
Native or near-native fluency in Polish and English.
2+ years of professional interpreting experience (immigration, legal, healthcare, community, or government preferred).
Strong knowledge of interpreter ethics, confidentiality, and cultural sensitivity.
Excellent communication and telephone interpretation skills.
Must be a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident eligible for Tier 3/Tier 5 security clearance.
