Picture your shift beginning at 10:45 pm. You meet a tight-knit crew, review the production plan, and bring color to life by turning raw materials into consistent, high-quality compounds that power products around the globe. That’s a typical night with Teknor Apex, a century-strong, family-led innovator with operations across the U.S., Belgium, Singapore, Germany, and China.

What you’ll do on a typical night

  • Run color compounding and related production equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Hit established quality targets while keeping assigned lines at optimal throughput.
  • Spot issues early, troubleshoot, and escalate when needed to keep production moving.
  • Accurately complete all production and quality documentation.
  • Keep work areas orderly; uphold 5S/lean housekeeping standards.
  • Follow all safety rules and procedures without exception.
  • Pitch in on related tasks as directed to meet team goals.
  • Work on site in a full-time capacity where dependable, on-time attendance is essential.
  • Support mandatory overtime when business needs require it.

Skills you bring

  • Previous manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Comfort collaborating in a team setting and also executing independently.
  • Sound judgment on the floor to maintain production levels.
  • Ability to read, write, and maintain precise records.
  • Forklift operation skills and a safety-first mindset.

Physical work environment

  • Lift and carry up to 55 lbs. repeatedly during the shift.
  • Strong manual and mechanical aptitude; remove and reassemble tooling using basic hand tools.
  • Stand for extended periods; squat, bend, twist, and turn as tasks require.
  • Climb stairs multiple times per shift.
  • Wear all required PPE.

Schedule

3rd Shift – 10:45 pm – 7:00 am. Must be able to train on 1st shift 6:45 am - 3:00 pm.

  • This is a full-time, on-site role. Because batch manufacturing is a team sport, reliable attendance is essential for your success and team safety.
  • Start times occur 15 minutes before the production phase of the scheduled shift.
  • Mandatory overtime may occur based on business needs; batches can extend beyond scheduled hours and may require evening, night, or weekend rotations from every operator.
