Overview:
Perform polysomnograms overnight. Administers oxygen and nasal continuous positive airway pressure and employs ventilatory assist devices in accordance with established protocols. Recognizes at risk events and notifies appropriate physicians.
Qualifications:
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
High School graduate or equivalent. Degree is preferred but not required.
Registered Polysomnographic Technologist certification (RPSGT) from the BRPT or the AASMs Registered Sleep Technologist certification (RST) is required.
Will consider board eligible graduate of an accredited Polysomnography program. The applicant MUST pass board examination within 3 months of employment.
Current CPR required prior to first day of clinical work.

NOTE: A frequent driver is defined as one who uses his/her personal or Shands automobile a) at least once daily, b) at least five individual trips per week or c) drives, on average, over 150 miles per week in the performance of his/her job. Please indicate the appropriate operator designation on the Request for Personnel (RFP) form at the time a RFP is submitted to post the position.
