Expected pay for this position is $27.26 - $35.68/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity.
This is an Hourly position.
Overview:POSITION SUMMARY: The Polysomnographic Technologist II works collectively with the Medical Director, Leader, staff and patients to achieve optimal efficiency and success in sleep disorder function testing and scoring. Performs comprehensive sleep testing / analysis and associated interventions under the general supervision of the Leader, Medical Director, or designee and provides supervision of a Polysomnographic Trainee and Polysomnographic Technologist I. A Polysomnographic Technologist II is credentialed in sleep technology.
3 nights per week, with flexible scheduling. The nights can be any combination between Wednesday–Saturday. Typical shift is around 6:30 PM–7:00 AM, but start/end times can vary slightly.
This is a 2-bed, AASM-accredited adult sleep lab currently using Natus SleepWorks 10. The lab is planning to expand into pediatric studies once accreditation is obtained.
Staffing is a 1:2 tech-to-patient ratio for standard studies. For pediatric patients under age 5, a 1:1 policy is required.
The tech will be working independently overnight, so they need to be comfortable managing the full workflow without onsite support. Lab is located in the hospital.
Qualifications:REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Must obtain ONEof the following:
Successful completion of an accredited educational program with emphasis in polysomnography.
Successfully transitioned into a polysomnographic technologist I AND successfully obtained credentialing in sleep technology.
Licensure/ Certification: CPR-American Heart Association (BLS for Health Care Proivders)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: An associate’s degree in an allied healthcare field (respiratory care or neuro-diagnostics).
Second credential may include one of the following: BRPT Certification in Clinical Sleep Health CCSH
NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist RRT
American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists
ABRET Registered Encephalography Technologist R. EEG
