### Department Details Our expanding Sleep Lab in northern Minnesota offers the opportunity to work in a patient-focused collaborative environment providing comprehensive in-lab and home sleep testing services. The department emphasizes high-quality scoring and adherence to AASM standards, modern diagnostic equipment, and strong clinical support from board-certified sleep physicians. Polysomnographic Technologists are an integral part of the team of medical practitioners providing care to our patients. Were seeking a compassionate patient and problem-solving Polysomnographic Technologist to join our talent team in this highly impactful role.

## What You Will Do

• Performing either Sleep Study Procedures or Neurological Testing for all patient populations.
• Understanding the testing equipment, including its structure, function, indications for use, physiological effect upon the patient, and basic maintenance.
• Troubleshooting procedures.
• Monitor and document appropriately in medical record per facility guidelines.
• Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM) standards and accreditation.
• Possess a knowledge and understanding of the disease and pathological conditions encountered.
• Educating patients with prescribed therapies and sleep testing and following up as needed.
• Acquire the ability to work with all age groups and those with growth and developmental needs of unique client populations.

## Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited program for Electroneurodiagnostic Technology or Respiratory Technology.
• Possess basic knowledge of sleep disorders, electrical safety, with the skill to utilize computers for patient documentation and data gathering for patient care.
• Eligible to register with the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT).
• Will consider eligibility to register with the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM) as well.
• Possess or obtain registry as a Respiratory Therapist (RT), Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP), or Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) within two years of the date of hire into position.
• Working in North Dakota, ND, current licensure as a Respiratory Therapist is required.
• Obtain and maintain mandatory continuing education units (CEU) each year to maintain licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 60 days of employment.
