Works under the supervision of the Sr. Administrative Director/ Cardiopulmonary Services or designee, Supervisor and upon the orders of a physician. Performs technically high-quality PSG testing as outlined in the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM). Performs CPAP/BIPAP/ASV/AVAP titrations. Maintains sleep apnea and titration logs during tests. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient.
Education: Graduate from an American Medical Association (AMA) accredited Respiratory Care Program required or successful completion of training in polysomnography with registration achieved.
Licensure: Current California State Polysomnographic Technologist license or California Respiratory Care Practitioners license required. Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) through the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) required. Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) through the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologist required. Current BLS/Healthcare Provider status as per American Heart Association standards required.
3. Experience: One (1) year experience in Sleep Medicine Center or EEG preferred.
Pay Range: The hourly rate for this position is $49.04 - $61.29. The range displayed on this job posting reflects the target for new hire salaries for this position.
