Goldfish Swim School - Pool Deck Supervisor, Paid Training Provided (Aquatics Experience Required)

At Goldfish Swim School Yonkers, you’ll play a key role in providing children and families with essential life skills while delivering a GOLDEN experience. Whether you're leading swim instruction or overseeing safety on the pool deck, your experience in aquatic environments will help young swimmers thrive.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Provides swim instruction based on the Goldfish Swim School curriculum
- Enforces safety rules and regulations to prevent accidents and ensure a safe aquatic environment
- Evaluates students’ progress and completes documentation accurately and promptly
- Engages with parents/guardians after each lesson to discuss swimmer development
- Identifies and addresses student challenges using problem-solving and creativity
- Assists with pool setup and cleanup, including storing equipment properly
- Participates in required workshops and in-service training
Job Requirements and Skills:
- Aquatics experience required (e.g., lifeguarding, swim team, swim instruction, water safety, competitive swimming, or similar)
- Weekend availability required
- Experience as a certified lifeguard, swim instructor/coach, camp counselor, or childcare provider is a plus strong ability to work with children in an energetic, supportive, and safety-focused environment
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
- Must pass background checks (provided as part of training)
- High School Diploma/GED required; Some college preferred
- Lifeguard, CPR/AED, and First Aid certifications encouraged (training provided and rewarded with pay increases)
- Must complete certification courses within 3 months of employment

Starting Pay Rate: $17.00/hour with regular opportunities for increases
