Pool Maintenance Supervisor
Position Summary
Horseshoe Bay Resort is seeking a Pool Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the daily operation, maintenance, and safety of all resort aquatic facilities. This hands-on leadership role is responsible for maintaining water quality, ensuring pool systems and equipment operate efficiently, supervising pool personnel, and maintaining a safe, clean, and guest-ready environment across the resort.
Resort Aquatic Facilities
This position is responsible for maintaining and supporting all resort aquatic venues, including but not limited to:
Waterfront Floating Pool
Tower Pool
Paseo Fitness Center Pool
Bayside Spa Pool and Hot Tub
Additional resort pools, hot tubs, water features, and related aquatic facilities
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the daily operation, maintenance, and safety of all resort pools, spas, and aquatic facilities.
Supervise, train, schedule, and develop pool maintenance staff.
Open, close, and secure facilities as required.
Conduct routine safety inspections and staff safety training.
Maintain pool and spa cleanliness through skimming, vacuuming, filter maintenance, backwashing, and general upkeep.
Perform water testing and chemical balancing to ensure compliance with all health and safety standards.
Inspect, troubleshoot, and maintain pool equipment, including pumps, heaters, filters, chemical feed systems, railings, and related infrastructure.
Coordinate and oversee repairs and preventative maintenance activities.
Order, track, and maintain inventories of chemicals, equipment, and supplies.
Enforce pool safety rules and operational procedures.
Identify hazardous conditions and ensure proper corrective actions are taken.
Maintain accurate records of water chemistry, maintenance activities, inspections, and inventory.
Ensure all aquatic facilities meet cleanliness, appearance, and operational standards.
Follow OSHA, MSDS, company safety policies, and environmental regulations.
Operate company vehicles and equipment safely and responsibly.
Report maintenance issues, safety concerns, and personnel matters to department leadership.
Recommend facility, equipment, and process improvements.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required
High school diploma or equivalent.
Pool maintenance experience.
Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
Knowledge of pool equipment, water chemistry, and preventative maintenance practices.
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred
Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification.
Two (2) years of supervisory experience.
Schedule Requirements
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
Available to respond to operational and emergency maintenance needs as required.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, kneel, and work outdoors for extended periods.
Ability to frequently lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
Ability to occasionally lift and move items weighing up to 100 pounds.
Ability to work safely around pool chemicals, equipment, and maintenance tools.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to maintain a clean, safe, and environmentally responsible work environment.
