Job Title: Pool Monitor (Seasonal)
Pay: $20–$22 per hour
Schedule:
- Sunday–Thursday: 12:00 PM – 10:00 PM (pool closes at 9:00 PM, cleanup from 9:00–10:00 PM)
- Friday–Saturday: 12:00 PM – 11:00 PM (pool closes at 10:00 PM, cleanup from 10:00–11:00 PM)
- Must be available evenings, weekends, and holidays
Season Dates:
Memorial Day through approximately 1–2 weeks after Labor Day
Position Overview
We are seeking a reliable and professional Pool Monitor to oversee daily operations at a residential pool facility. This is a monitoring and security-focused role, not a lifeguard position. The Pool Monitor will be responsible for enforcing community rules, maintaining a clean and safe environment, and ensuring the facility is properly opened and secured each day.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Monitor pool area to ensure compliance with all community rules and regulations
- Provide a professional and friendly presence for residents and guests
- Observe for safety concerns, hazards, or inappropriate behavior and respond appropriately
- Open and close the pool facility each day, including securing gates and equipment
- Perform light cleaning duties, including removing trash and tidying the pool area
- Complete end-of-day cleanup and ensure the facility is left in good condition
- Report maintenance issues or safety concerns to management
- Follow established procedures in the event of an emergency and complete required documentation
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Reliable and punctual with the ability to work assigned schedule
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to make sound decisions and enforce rules in a professional manner
- Previous experience in customer service, security, or a similar role is a plus
Additional Information
- This is not a lifeguard position and no lifeguard certification is required
- Candidates should be comfortable working independently and outdoors for extended periods
