Job Description

Job Summary

The Pool Supervisor provides supervision and support to staff and patrons in the facility, with an emphasis on maintaining and enforcing rules and regulations to ensure a safe aquatic environment. Acts as facility supervisor in the absence of the Aquatic Program Director.

Reports To: Aquatics Director

Essential Job Functions:

  • Follow all essential job functions for both lifeguard and instructor job descriptions
  • Serve as a mentor for lifeguards and instructors
  • Report any employee incidents to Director
  • To ensure safe and effect programs, rules and regulations will be enforced in a consistent manner
  • Ensure the facility is properly secured at closing time
  • Complete all necessary forms for documentation of shift detail
  • Participate and assist in the conduction of staff meetings and training
  • Addresses issues and concerns that occur while on duty
  • Responsible for documenting and reporting issues and concerns to the Aquatics Program Director
  • Comply with the rules and procedures as defined in the employee handbook
  • Manage the "on-call" phone for emergencies during the allocated hours of week
