Job Description

The Pool Technician Trainer is responsible for training and developing all pool service technicians at Nabors Pools. This role will primarily focus on training new hires to ensure they have the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to perform their job successfully and provide excellent service to our customers.

When there are no new hires in training, the Trainer will work with existing Service Level 1, Service Level 2, and Lead Technicians to improve their technical knowledge, service quality, efficiency, and readiness to advance within the company.

The goal of this position is to create confident, knowledgeable technicians and maintain consistent service standards across the entire team.

Job Responsibilities

New Hire Training
Train all new pool technicians on company procedures, service standards, and expectations.
Provide hands-on training in pool cleaning, water chemistry, equipment operation, and basic troubleshooting.
Teach technicians how to properly use company tools, equipment, and technology.
Ensure new hires understand customer service expectations and proper communication.
Monitor new technicians throughout the training process and provide feedback and coaching.
Communicate each trainee's progress, strengths, and areas needing improvement to management.

Technician Development
Work with Service Level 1 Technicians to strengthen their skills and prepare them for advancement to Service Level 2.
Work with Service Level 2 Technicians to expand their technical knowledge and prepare them for advancement to Lead Technician.
Provide additional training to technicians who need improvement in specific areas.
Ride along with established technicians to observe service quality, efficiency, and adherence to company standards.
Provide hands-on coaching and constructive feedback.
Identify opportunities for continued training and development across the service team.
Training & Quality Control
Help maintain consistent training procedures and standards.
Ensure technicians understand and follow company policies and procedures.
Assist in identifying recurring training issues and developing solutions.
Help ensure all technicians are performing services safely, accurately, and efficiently.
Stay up to date on pool equipment, industry knowledge, and company service procedures.
Assist with evaluating technicians' readiness for advancement to the next service level.

Qualifications

Strong knowledge of pool cleaning, water chemistry, and pool equipment.
Previous experience as a Lead Technician or advanced pool service technician preferred.
Strong communication and teaching skills.
Patient and able to work with technicians with different levels of experience and learning styles.
Ability to provide clear, constructive feedback.
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to lead by example and represent the standards of Nabors Pools.
Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
