PORT SECURITY OFFICER - TWIC CARD REQUIRED

Chicago, IL - South Side

$19.00/hour | Full-Time

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday | 5:00 AM - 5:00 PM

We are hiring professional and dependable Security Officers for a secure port facility on Chicago's South Side. This is a full-time position with a consistent 12-hour schedule in a controlled-access environment.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Active TWIC Card - REQUIRED
• Active Illinois PERC Card
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
• Strong communication and report-writing skills
• Professional appearance and demeanor
• Ability to consistently follow post orders and site procedures
• Must be reliable, alert, and able to work assigned shifts
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

TWIC Card: An active TWIC is required for this position.

Candidates with strong, relevant security experience who are willing to obtain a TWIC may be considered for TWIC reimbursement assistance.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

• Port, gate access, warehouse, logistics, or industrial security
• Access control and credential verification
• 20-Hour Unarmed Security Training Certificate
• Valid driver's license

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Monitor and control access to the facility
• Verify credentials for employees, visitors, vendors, and authorized personnel
• Conduct interior and exterior patrols
• Complete accurate activity and incident reports
• Respond appropriately to security incidents and emergencies
• Follow site-specific procedures and post orders
• Maintain a safe, secure, and professional environment
