Porter (Automotive - Service) - Fowler Dodge

Fowler Dodge has an outstanding opportunity for a detailed, task-oriented, motivated, customer service minded Porter for our growing dealership.

Job Responsibilities:

• Drives customer vehicles to and from service lane, service stalls, and parking lot as needed.
• Drive vehicles through car wash.
• Cleans driveway and sidewalks, removing snow and debris as necessary.
• General cleanup of vehicles after service work is completed.
• Parks vehicles in the vehicle lot in an orderly manner
• Maintains showroom and stock vehicles in clean and presentable condition at all times.
• Washes and prepares new and used vehicles for lot display.
• Maintains service drive and/or service lane appearance/cleanliness

Education and/or Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience in the automotive industry is a plus but not required

Requirements:

Valid Driver's License and MVR acceptable to our Insurance Carrier

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk; use hands and arms to handle, feel and reach. The employee frequently is required to stand; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit and taste or smell. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Language Skills:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
