    POSITION SUMMARY

    Responsible for performing the heavier tasks associated with the daily cleaning of the assigned neighborhood. And setup/reset tables & chairs for campus events.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

    • Provide heavy cleaning which includes scrubbing, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, floor shampooing, stripping & waxing, spill removal, removing trash to outside containers, and moving furniture, etc. in common areas as scheduled.
    • Perform setup and reset of public meeting areas for scheduled events/gatherings as needed.
    • Maintain care and use of supplies and equipment; make regular inspections of building areas.
    • As required, provide services in adjacent hallways/corridors.
    • Report all unusual conditions, behaviors, and/or resident concerns to the appropriate Management/Supervisory staff in a timely manner..
    • May be required to work independently or assist others in the cleaning of other facilities or residences of the organization.
    • May be required to perform other duties in keeping with the nature of this position which will not significantly alter the job requirements.
    • Must adhere to all facility and departmental Fire, Disaster, Threat, and Emergency procedures.
    • Adheres to all organizational and departmental policies and procedures in the performance of position responsibilities.
    • Must attend organizational and/or departmental training sessions and/or in-services as scheduled.
    • Demonstrate interest and commitment to work with a diverse senior population.
    • Possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant it using good judgement and ethical conduct.
    • Able to read, write and speak in a cogent and professional manner.
    • Able to organize, prioritize, and manage time, multiple tasks and projects.
    • Capable of concentrating with large volumes of work and handle pressure.
    • Able to work mandatory work days and mandatory OT as needed.
    • Able to meet the physical demands and working environment of the position.
    • Able to follow procedures.

    Education and/or Experience

    • High School Diploma/GED preferred.
    • One or more years of experience in cleaning and caring for a building preferred.
