Job DescriptionPosition Title:PorterDepartment:NJ JanitorialFTE/Classification:Full-Time/Non-ExemptReports To:Assistant Director of MaintenanceLocation:900 Clifton Avenue, Clifton, NJ 07013Pay:$16.00Hours:Monday through Friday (2:30pm to 10:00pm with a half hour unpaid lunch included, 35 hours per week)*1 full-time shift or 2 part-time shifts*PRIMARY FUNCTION: Responsible for cleaning contracted buildings and office space. Essential Functions Include:Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them.Gather and empty trash.Service, clean, and supply restrooms.Clean and polish furniture and fixtures.Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors, using specific cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.Dust furniture, walls, machines, and equipment.Mix water and detergents in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications.Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment, in order to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.Any other duties deemed necessary for the cleanliness of the building. REQUIREMENTS: One year of janitorial experiences (preferred but not required)Valid Driver's License and the ability to get to job site(s) for required shifts North Jersey Friendship House is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
