Porter/Groundskeeper

Tesoro Group is seeking an experienced porter-groundskeeper to join on of our clients team at (1) of their properties in Bloomington, MN (55437). The ideal candidate will have 1 years’ experience in caretaking or porter duties. Experience in residential/multi-family housing is highly preferred. This role is contract to hire (90 days before conversion).

This role will be working with (1) community that has 200+ units.

Salary: $21-$23/hour DOQ.

Schedule: Monday-Friday: 7AM – 4PM.

The Porter performs routine upkeep of the apartment community including buildings, amenities, and surrounding areas, ensuring a welcoming impression for residents, guests, and team members on-site. You will be expected to maintain the communities curb appeal while communicating effectively and professionally. It is expected that assigned tasks are completed in a timely manner and will likely require operating tools and equipment in accordance with safety and operations standards.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Responsible for meticulous upkeep and trash removal of grounds, amenities, building exteriors, leasing office, parking lots, and community common areas.
• Assist in the cleaning and preparation of units including trash removal from vacant apartments.
• Complete weather preparation and clean up as needed.
• Organize, maintain, and utilize provided supplies in a cost-effective manner.
• Present an appearance appropriate to the image of the company.
• Complete additional tasks or duties assigned by community leadership.

Qualifications and Experience:

• A minimum of 1 years’ experience within a porter or groundskeeping role – residential multi-family experience is highly preferred.
• Light maintenance experience – lock changing, shoveling, salting, picking up trash, replacing lightbulbs, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, helping with unit turns and other duties as assigned.
• Reliable and punctual.
• Hospitality set mind-set when working with the residents.
• Hold a valid Driver’s License and active vehicle insurance.
• Be able to pass a background check prior to employment.
