Job Title: Porter
Reports to: General Manager
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Part Time
Pay: $20 per hour
Hours: 8-10 hours per week
Must be available to work after 6pm on weeknights and weekends
Summary: We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Porter to join our team. The Porter will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and functionality of the premises. This role involves performing routine cleaning tasks, assisting with minor maintenance duties, and ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all visitors, staff, and clients.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform daily cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and waste disposal.
- Cleaning windows weekly
- Maintain cleanliness of common areas such as lobbies, restrooms, hallways, and entrances.
- Restock supplies, including toiletries, cleaning materials, and other consumables.
- Assist with minor repairs and maintenance, such as changing light bulbs or fixing fixtures.
- Support event setup and breakdown, including arranging furniture and equipment.
- Respond promptly to requests for assistance from staff or management.
- Monitor and report any safety hazards, damage, or maintenance needs to the appropriate personnel.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, and notify management of reorder needs.
Skills & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in a similar role is a plus but not required.
- Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift/move items up to [weight limit, e.g., 50 lbs].
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent time management and communication skills.
Working Conditions:
- Available after 6pm on weekdays and weekends
- Exposure to cleaning chemicals and outdoor elements as needed.
- Temperature and moisture levels may vary, including hot and humid settings.
