Portfolio Advisory Associates support portfolio managers, advisors, and investment teams in delivering customized investment solutions to clients. The role combines portfolio analysis, investment research, client reporting, and strategic support, serving as a bridge between investment decision-making and client-facing advisory work.
These roles involve close collaboration with portfolio managers, financial advisors, investment strategists, risk teams, and relationship managers to ensure portfolios align with client objectives, risk tolerance, and market conditions.
Support portfolio managers and advisors in the construction, monitoring, and rebalancing of client portfolios
Analyze portfolio performance, asset allocation, risk exposures, and attribution versus benchmarks
Assist in developing customized investment strategies based on client goals, constraints, and market outlooks
Prepare client-ready materials, including performance reports, investment reviews, and portfolio commentary
Conduct market, macroeconomic, and asset-class research to support portfolio recommendations
Monitor portfolio risks, drawdowns, and alignment with investment guidelines or mandates
Help implement portfolio changes, transitions, and cash flows across accounts
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate reporting, compliance, and operational execution
Support client meetings by providing analytical insights and clear investment narratives
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Mathematics, or a related field
Strong understanding of portfolio theory, asset allocation, and investment products (equities, fixed income, alternatives)
Experience or coursework in investment management, wealth management, or portfolio analysis (preferred but not required)
Strong analytical and quantitative skills with attention to detail
Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with Python, SQL, or portfolio analytics tools is a plus
Ability to synthesize complex investment data into clear, client-friendly insights
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven, client-focused environment
