Overview
Working under the direction of the Finance Manager in the Integrated Business Office of Radiology, Pathology, Therapeutic Radiology and Laboratory Medicine, and exercising a considerable amount of discretion and independent judgement, the Portfolio Analyst role provides a high level of customer service and financial support to the research operations. This position provides analytical and financial services, guidance and consultation to faculty and budgetary management of a primary portfolio as well as support for secondary portfolios comprised of multiple federal and non-federal sponsors. The Accountant conducts complex modeling for a PI's portfolio of grants in order to develop long and short-term resource plans. This position creates and updates financial plan(s) and prepares reporting and analysis to accommodate sponsor requirements. As well as other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Abilities
Strong attention to accuracy and clear understanding of confidentiality is essential. Exhibits and maintains a positive attitude and works well as part of a team.
Detail oriented, organized and able to multi-task.
Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to cultivate and maintain strong working partnerships and communicate with faculty, staff and external clients/customers.
Excellent attendance. Ability to work independently and be self-motivated.
Superior computer skills with specific knowledge and ability with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook or other similar software.
Preferred Skills and Abilities
MBA Degree.
Experience with Grants & Contracts (pre-award/post-award), Workday or University accounting and financial reporting.
