About Initio Sphere

Initio Sphere is a full-service private capital ecosystem where capital meets talent. We serve fund managers, family offices, investors, and operators across private markets by integrating deal flow, analytical talent, portfolio support, investor relations, training, and placement into a single platform.

Our mission is to create real earning opportunities, verified credibility, and hands-on exposure across both live transactions and active portfolios. Once verified, analysts can begin earning immediately by supporting deal execution and portfolio-level analysis across the Initio Sphere network.

Role Overview

Initio Sphere is seeking qualified finance professionals to join as Certified Portfolio & Deal Analysts.

This is not a traditional employment role. Portfolio & Deal Analysts operate as independent contractors, activated through Initio Sphere’s certification and verification process.

Once approved, Portfolio & Deal Analysts:

  • Are promoted within the Initio Sphere platform

  • Gain access to paid deal execution and portfolio analytics work

  • Support investors, fund managers, and operators across the full investment lifecycle

  • Build a verified deal and portfolio track record with an Analyst Rating Score

Certification tiers:
Senior Portfolio & Deal Analyst · Lead Portfolio & Deal Analyst · Portfolio & Deal Analyst / Associate

Analyst Levels & Pay Ranges

Senior Portfolio & Deal Analyst

  • Rating Score: 90–100

  • Pay: $150–200/hour

  • Typical Background:
Former investment banking, private equity, portfolio operations, or senior consulting professionals with 5+ years of transaction and portfolio experience

Lead Portfolio & Deal Analyst

  • Rating Score: 80–89

  • Pay: $100–150/hour

  • Typical Background:
Finance professionals with 3–5 years of experience in deal execution, portfolio monitoring, or advanced financial modeling

Portfolio & Deal Analyst / Associate

  • Rating Score: 60–79

  • Pay: $50–100/hour

  • Typical Background:
Entry to mid-level analysts with strong modeling, analytical, and execution support skills

What You’ll Do (Approval-Based)

Depending on certification approvals, Portfolio & Deal Analysts may support the following activities:

Deal Analysis & Transaction Support

  • Deal screening and opportunity evaluation

  • Sources & uses and returns analysis

  • Scenario and downside case modeling

  • Data room review and transaction coordination

  • Investment committee and deal memo support

Portfolio Analysis & Performance Monitoring

  • Portfolio company financial analysis and KPI tracking

  • Budget vs. actual and variance analysis

  • Add-on acquisition and capital deployment analysis

  • Exit readiness and hold vs. sell analysis

Financial Modeling & Valuation

  • 3-statement operating models

  • DCF and LBO modeling

  • Commercial real estate underwriting (where applicable)

  • Sensitivity and scenario analysis

  • Comparable company and precedent transaction analysis

  • Football field valuation summaries

Due Diligence & Investment Support

  • Quality of Earnings (QoE) analysis support

  • Commercial and operational diligence

  • Risk assessment and downside analysis

Analysts may only perform work in categories they are explicitly approved for.
Approvals are earned through assessment and demonstrated performance—not tenure.

How Analysts Start Earning

  1. Complete the Portfolio & Deal Analyst Certification Assessment or approved training

  2. Receive category-specific approvals (Deal Analysis, Portfolio Analysis, Modeling, Valuation, Due Diligence)

  3. Get verified on the Initio Sphere platform

  4. Begin earning immediately through hourly portfolio and deal support engagements

No cold applying. No unpaid “experience.”
Verified analysts are actively promoted to investors, fund managers, and deal sponsors across the ecosystem.

Certification & Eligibility

To qualify, candidates must meet at least one of the following:

  • Score 70% in at least one category of the Analyst Certification Assessment

  • Complete Initio Sphere Financial Training

  • Hold an active professional credential (CFA, CPA, Series 7, 63, 79, or equivalent)

Analyst Rating Score

Each Portfolio & Deal Analyst receives a 0–100 Analyst Rating Score, which determines:

  • Platform visibility

  • Approved deal and portfolio support categories

  • Recommended hourly compensation levels

Compensation & Deal Economics

  • Analysts are independent contractors, not employees

  • Hourly rates are determined by Rating Score and approval level

  • Analysts may earn up to 10% of the first $100,000 in transaction fees

  • Maximum deal-based earning: $2,500 per transaction

  • Payments are issued only after successful deal completion and fee collection

  • Initio Sphere reserves the right to revoke approvals for quality, performance, or compliance issues

Compliance Notice

Portfolio & Deal Analysts do not:

  • Provide investment advice

  • Solicit securities

  • Represent Initio Sphere in a regulated or broker-dealer capacity

All work is limited to analytical, diligence, and portfolio support functions and must comply with applicable securities laws.

Why Join Initio Sphere

  • Immediate earning potential once verified

  • Real deal and portfolio exposure—not simulations

  • Platform-driven credibility and long-term visibility

  • Long-term upside through transaction and portfolio experience

  • A unified ecosystem for deal execution, portfolio growth, and career development
