Initio Sphere is a full-service private capital ecosystem where capital meets talent. We serve fund managers, family offices, investors, and operators across private markets by integrating deal flow, analytical talent, portfolio support, investor relations, training, and placement into a single platform.
Our mission is to create real earning opportunities, verified credibility, and hands-on exposure across both live transactions and active portfolios. Once verified, analysts can begin earning immediately by supporting deal execution and portfolio-level analysis across the Initio Sphere network.
Initio Sphere is seeking qualified finance professionals to join as Certified Portfolio & Deal Analysts.
This is not a traditional employment role. Portfolio & Deal Analysts operate as independent contractors, activated through Initio Sphere’s certification and verification process.
Once approved, Portfolio & Deal Analysts:
Are promoted within the Initio Sphere platform
Gain access to paid deal execution and portfolio analytics work
Support investors, fund managers, and operators across the full investment lifecycle
Build a verified deal and portfolio track record with an Analyst Rating Score
Certification tiers:
Senior Portfolio & Deal Analyst · Lead Portfolio & Deal Analyst · Portfolio & Deal Analyst / Associate
Rating Score: 90–100
Pay: $150–200/hour
Typical Background:
Former investment banking, private equity, portfolio operations, or senior consulting professionals with 5+ years of transaction and portfolio experience
Rating Score: 80–89
Pay: $100–150/hour
Typical Background:
Finance professionals with 3–5 years of experience in deal execution, portfolio monitoring, or advanced financial modeling
Rating Score: 60–79
Pay: $50–100/hour
Typical Background:
Entry to mid-level analysts with strong modeling, analytical, and execution support skills
Depending on certification approvals, Portfolio & Deal Analysts may support the following activities:
Deal screening and opportunity evaluation
Sources & uses and returns analysis
Scenario and downside case modeling
Data room review and transaction coordination
Investment committee and deal memo support
Portfolio company financial analysis and KPI tracking
Budget vs. actual and variance analysis
Add-on acquisition and capital deployment analysis
Exit readiness and hold vs. sell analysis
3-statement operating models
DCF and LBO modeling
Commercial real estate underwriting (where applicable)
Sensitivity and scenario analysis
Comparable company and precedent transaction analysis
Football field valuation summaries
Quality of Earnings (QoE) analysis support
Commercial and operational diligence
Risk assessment and downside analysis
Analysts may only perform work in categories they are explicitly approved for.
Approvals are earned through assessment and demonstrated performance—not tenure.
Complete the Portfolio & Deal Analyst Certification Assessment or approved training
Receive category-specific approvals (Deal Analysis, Portfolio Analysis, Modeling, Valuation, Due Diligence)
Get verified on the Initio Sphere platform
Begin earning immediately through hourly portfolio and deal support engagements
No cold applying. No unpaid “experience.”
Verified analysts are actively promoted to investors, fund managers, and deal sponsors across the ecosystem.
To qualify, candidates must meet at least one of the following:
Score 70% in at least one category of the Analyst Certification Assessment
Complete Initio Sphere Financial Training
Hold an active professional credential (CFA, CPA, Series 7, 63, 79, or equivalent)
Each Portfolio & Deal Analyst receives a 0–100 Analyst Rating Score, which determines:
Platform visibility
Approved deal and portfolio support categories
Recommended hourly compensation levels
Analysts are independent contractors, not employees
Hourly rates are determined by Rating Score and approval level
Analysts may earn up to 10% of the first $100,000 in transaction fees
Maximum deal-based earning: $2,500 per transaction
Payments are issued only after successful deal completion and fee collection
Initio Sphere reserves the right to revoke approvals for quality, performance, or compliance issues
Portfolio & Deal Analysts do not:
Provide investment advice
Solicit securities
Represent Initio Sphere in a regulated or broker-dealer capacity
All work is limited to analytical, diligence, and portfolio support functions and must comply with applicable securities laws.
