The Role
This isn't a normal job posting, and we aren't looking for a passive account manager. We need an experienced strategist, an entrepreneurial force, and a master of client relationship management ready to step directly into the arena.
As a Portfolio Growth Manager, you will oversee a suite of DROPLIGHT’s portfolio companies, acting as a trusted advisor, strategic partner, and growth catalyst for our founders. You will operate with high autonomy, managing multiple high-value accounts simultaneously. This role requires a sophisticated blend of relationship-building mastery and entrepreneurial grit. You are not just executing a playbook; you are rewriting it to scale businesses and maximize equity value.
What You Will Own
You will be responsible for driving results across several key pillars:
Client Relationship Management: Act as the primary, high-touch strategic partner for a diverse portfolio of founders. Build deep trust, anticipate needs, and skillfully manage stakeholder dynamics to ensure complete alignment with DROPLIGHT’s vision.
Portfolio Growth Strategy: Diagnose business bottlenecks, uncover untapped revenue streams, and engineer scalable growth strategies. You will design, build, and deploy robust Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) from scratch to move founders from survival to scale.
Multi-Account Ecosystem Orchestration: Expertly juggle competing priorities across multiple distinct companies. You are highly organized, bringing meticulous project management rigor to track deliverables, optimize resources, and put out "fires" before they even ignite.
Strategic & Financial Guardrails: Build and analyze complex financial models, evaluate market acquisition opportunities, and review P&Ls to drive data-backed, high-impact recommendations for leadership and founders.
AI & Technology Integration: Proactively identify and embed advanced AI-powered tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Zapier, Make) to automate ecosystem workflows, 10x operational throughput, and institutionalize efficiency.
What You Bring
Proven Account Leadership: 4+ years of experience managing complex, multi-client portfolios, preferably within a startup accelerator, venture studio, agency, or management consulting environment.
Entrepreneurial DNA: You possess the grit, adaptability, and ownership mindset of a founder. You thrive in ambiguity and are a proactive "solution engine" who creates order out of chaos through sheer resolve and strategic thinking.
Hyper-Organized Project Mastery: Exceptional organizational skills with a proven track record of successfully managing overlapping timelines, high-stakes deliverables, and multiple stakeholder expectations without breaking a sweat.
Elite Communication & Influence: Flawless written and verbal skills. You can command a room, simplify highly complex strategic frameworks, navigate difficult conversations with diplomacy, and inspire action in founders.
AI-Native Mindset: You leverage AI fluidly in your daily workflow and view manual, repetitive processes as a personal challenge to automate.
Sharp Commercial & Financial Acumen: Deep comfort analyzing financial models, P&L statements, and market trends to synthesize data into clear, actionable growth strategies.
