Portfolio Growth Mentors are a key tier of our ecosystem—providing strategic guidance, operational insight, and portfolio-level mentorship to sponsors, funds, and investors while benefiting from earning opportunities and enhanced credibility across the network.

Role Overview

Initio Sphere is onboarding Portfolio Growth Mentors to provide strategic, operational, and portfolio-focused guidance to fund managers, investors, and deal sponsors.

This is an independent contractor role. Mentors operate through a verification and approval process rather than traditional employment. Once approved, Portfolio Growth Mentors:

• Advise on fund strategy, portfolio growth, capital allocation, and operational improvements

• Mentor analysts and deal scouts, helping them develop skills and credibility

• Access curated deal flow, earning opportunities, and platform-driven exposure

• Build a verified Mentor Track Record within the Initio Sphere ecosystem

Ideal candidates are experienced operators, ex-investment bankers, fund managers, or senior consultants with a proven record of portfolio-level guidance and capital transactions.

What You’ll Do (Approval-Based)

Approved Portfolio Growth Mentors may:

• Advise fund managers and sponsors on portfolio strategy, capital allocation, and value creation

• Support deal sponsors with structuring, diligence oversight, and portfolio-level performance insights

• Mentor analysts and deal scouts on modeling, diligence, and transaction execution

• Provide operational guidance and growth strategy for portfolio companies

• Participate in curated introductions with institutional investors or co-investors

Mentors focus on high-level strategic guidance, portfolio optimization, and mentorship. Day-to-day transactional modeling is not required unless approved.

Eligible Advisory Areas

• Portfolio strategy, growth planning, and operational optimization

• Fund formation, capital raising, and LP communications

• Deal structuring, investment committee support, and transaction guidance

• Mentorship and technical training for analysts and scouts

• Investor relations and network strategy

Approval is based on experience, track record, and demonstrated ability to provide portfolio-level guidance.

Compensation & Deal Economics

• Independent contractor engagement

• Hourly rates: $200–$500, based on experience, track record, and engagement scope

• Transaction-based incentives may be earned for advisory on closed deals

• Payments issued after successful completion of advisory milestones or deal closure

• No cap on earning potential for consistently high-value contributions

How Mentors Get Activated

1. Submit a Portfolio Growth Mentor application, including background, track record, and portfolio experience

2. Complete verification and category approval

3. Get promoted within the Initio Sphere platform

4. Begin working with funds, sponsors, and analysts on approved engagements

This ensures selectivity, credibility, and direct access to real opportunities.

• Market investments outside of approved channels

• Represent Initio Sphere in a regulated capacity

All work must comply with applicable securities laws and focus on strategic guidance, portfolio growth, and mentorship.
