    Portfolio Management Lead | Remote / San Francisco / New York

    A fast-growing fintech and investment platform is seeking a Portfolio Management Lead to oversee portfolio construction, risk management, and investment strategy across its exchange fund and long/short equity offerings. This individual will work closely with the Head of Investments and play a critical role in shaping both investment outcomes and the future direction of the firm's product suite.

    The successful candidate will bring a strong background in portfolio management, quantitative analysis, and equities investing, with the ability to blend rigorous risk management, fundamental research, and innovative investment thinking. This is a highly visible role offering significant ownership, influence over product strategy, and direct collaboration with senior leadership.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead portfolio management, portfolio construction, and risk management efforts across exchange fund and long/short equity strategies.
    • Develop and implement investment strategies designed to achieve portfolio objectives while managing risk within specific portfolio constraints.
    • Manage hedging programs, long/short exposures, swaps, options, and other portfolio overlays designed to optimize risk-adjusted returns.
    • Conduct quantitative analysis, factor research, valuation work, and portfolio optimization initiatives to support investment decisions.
    • Evaluate current and prospective investment managers, identify tactical opportunities, and generate new investment ideas across public and private markets.
    • Partner with product, operations, marketing, and business development teams to enhance existing offerings and develop new investment solutions.
    • Contribute to investment thought leadership through research publications, industry events, podcasts, and client-facing content.
    • Support client engagement and business development initiatives by communicating investment philosophy, portfolio construction approaches, and market insights.
    • Help shape long-term product strategy and identify adjacent investment opportunities that support future growth.
    • Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture focused on innovation, accountability, and investment excellence.

    Qualifications:

    • 7+ years of experience in portfolio management, investment strategy, risk management, or quantitative investing.
    • Demonstrated success managing complex portfolios across equities and alternative investment strategies.
    • Strong understanding of portfolio construction, factor investing, hedging techniques, risk modeling, and alpha generation.
    • Experience utilizing quantitative methods to support investment decision-making and portfolio optimization.
    • Familiarity with derivatives, options, swaps, and advanced risk management frameworks.
    • Experience managing concentrated equity positions, tax-aware portfolios, or customized investment solutions is highly preferred.
    • CFA designation and/or advanced degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
    • Exceptional analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
