Portfolio Manager

Department Profile:

Technology Delivery Management (TDM) provides delivery oversight across Wealth Management Technology, ensuring deliverables are managed to budget and timelines, and that SDLC and PLC standards are followed. The TDM team is comprised of Project, Program, and Portfolio Managers, as well as Fleet Delivery Leads and Scrum Masters.

Position Description: 

The company is looking for a dynamic, self-motivated Portfolio Manager with wide-ranging technology experience, to include managing projects for the DevOPS organization and strong knowledge of technology infrastructure. 

We are looking for someone that has a collaborative approach, the ability to identify challenges as opportunities, has energy and drive, and can facilitate programs that will deliver best in class technology to the organization.

You will use Agile philosophies to manage the implementation of new products; enhance or upgrade existing applications; technology optimizations and driving project prioritization. 

In this role you will:

* Have ownership and accountability for the success of assigned programs/projects

* Organize and deliver critical programs/projects from inception through completion, collaborating with Scrum/Kanban Teams, Tech Owners, Sponsors, Stakeholders and shared services

* Possess strong interpersonal skills in the areas of leadership, communications, planning, multi-tasking, conflict resolution, and financial management

* Provide precise reporting and transparency on programs/projects to technology leadership team

* Build strong relationships with stakeholders, delivery teams, 3rd parties, and leadership to facilitate effective and efficient delivery of business value

* Proactively manage and remove impediments and risks to ensure the teams can focus on delivery, while working to establish the team?s baseline velocity, sprint cadence, and release plans

* Develop and maintain all required documentation for successful delivery of the programs/projects in accordance with organizational policies

* Identify and actively manage risks, and possess the applicable skillset to know when to escalate

* Manage communication plans, including project updates provided to executive leadership and governance committees

* The ability to strategically apply the right program/management methodologies to ensure project and program delivery success

REQUIREMENTS

* Possess the flexibility to adjust to changing priorities

* Understands interdependencies of various systems and application stacks

* Proactively manages and aggressively control project scope, schedule and budgets

* Plan, secure and direct technical resources required for delivery

* Create and deliver presentations or reports on project details, to include progress, issues, risks, financials, recommendations, and other metrics as required

* 7+ years of experience delivering mid to large scale technology initiatives

* Demonstrated exceptional program management skills

* Experience with Scrum, Scrumban, and Kanban and Waterfall methodologies

* Expert knowledge with JIRA and Confluence with the ability to create queries and pull/organize project data on demand

* The ability to influence and build effective working relationships at all levels of the organization

* The ability to structure and organize complex data and execution efforts

* Expert knowledge of Change and Release Management according to established SDLC

QUALIFICATIONS:

* Bachelor of Science (B.S) Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, MIS is highly desired

* Experience working in the financial industry will enhance success in this role

* Project Management Professional (PMP) is desired

* Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) is desired* Certified Scrum Master (CSM) is desired
