Job Title: Portfolio Manager
Location: Phoenix, AZ ONSITE

Pay Rate: $55-$60/hr on W2/C2C
Description:
Support Banking and Payments portfolio teams by designing, implementing and managing efficient portfolio tools, processes, governance routines and reporting mechanisms. Analyze portfolio trends, bottlenecks, resource constraints, risks, dependencies and trade-offs and translate findings into actionable recommendations for leadership. Build, automate and maintain Tableau/Power BI dashboards, scorecards, metrics and executive reporting covering portfolio health, progress, milestones, dependencies, risks and KPIs. Use approved AI capabilities to accelerate portfolio analysis, automate reporting, develop executive narratives and support predictive analytics and forecasting, while ensuring human review, verification and governance. Facilitate portfolio governance, gating and readiness reviews, dependency management, milestone alignment and release planning across internal teams and external vendor/technology partners. Maintain and govern portfolio roadmaps, initiative backlogs, milestones, risks, dependencies, decisions, approvals and readiness criteria. Partner with product, engineering, analytics, finance, business teams and external partners to consolidate and validate portfolio information and resolve cross-functional conflicts and dependencies. Prepare clear executive communications that provide visibility into portfolio performance, delivery progress, risks, trade-offs and decisions required. Develop templates, playbooks, standards and repeatable tools to improve portfolio planning, reporting, governance and operating routines. Continuously improve portfolio workflows through automation, streamlined reporting and disciplined governance practices. Ensure portfolio information and metrics are accurate, consistent and decision-ready, with strong attention to data quality. Support delivery predictability and execution against common goals by proactively identifying issues and driving ownership and follow-through.
Skills Required :
"5+ years of experience in program/project management, portfolio management, PMO operations, or strategic delivery, preferably within technology, banking, payments, or financial services.
Proven experience managing large, complex initiatives across multiple product, engineering, business, analytics, finance, and external partner teams.
Strong understanding of portfolio governance, planning, prioritization, dependency management, milestone management, release readiness, gating and Agile/SDLC delivery frameworks.
Demonstrated hands-on proficiency with Tableau and/or Client Power BI, including dashboard development, KPI visualization, scorecards, data storytelling, automation, and executive-ready reporting.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze portfolio data, identify trends, bottlenecks, resource constraints, risks and trade-offs, and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
Working knowledge of AI-assisted productivity and analytical workflows, including use of approved AI capabilities for analysis, reporting, executive narratives, forecasting, and automation with appropriate verification and governance.
Experience maintaining portfolio roadmaps, initiative backlogs, milestones, dependencies, risks, decisions, approvals and quality/readiness criteria.
Experience coordinating releases and dependencies with external banking or technology partners.
Strong data-quality orientation and ability to define meaningful metrics that improve portfolio visibility and decision- making.
Excellent stakeholder management, leadership, written/verbal communication and executive presentation skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
Experience or knowledge in Payments and Banking is preferred.
Highly organized, proactive and adaptable, with ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment"
