Join a team where creativity meets analytics to improve the science of flavor. As part of our Portfolio Team, you''ll explore our flavor landscape, integrating sensory science, digital intelligence, and customer analytics to guide strategic selections. Interpret data which spans consumer trends, regulatory requirements, and technical performance to support selection and evaluation activities that drive sales for our Commercial Team. This role offers hands-on experience applying data-driven decisions to flavor innovation in a dynamic, collaborative setting.

Reporting to a Knowledge Base Manager, this Cincinnati-based position has a primary focus to develop knowledge of flavors within the collections and use this information to win business. You will accomplish daily brief-related tasks by applying this knowledge during the flavor selection and evaluation process.

  • Technical Expertise: Apply advanced sensory science, data-driven insights, and formulation expertise to optimize flavor solutions across diverse applications. Use digital tools and predictive analytics to navigate our portfolio, selecting and refining products that meet performance, regulatory, and cost requirements. Contribute to an environment where science drives creative excellence.
  • Team Collaboration: Help evaluate how our flavors perform in actual products. Maintain performance data for our flavor portfolio by participating in flavor evaluations for customer briefs, summarize group tasting results, and help record valuable feedback in our systems - learning firsthand about flavor applications alongside industry experts.
  • Partnership and Influence: Work with experienced technical experts and cross-function partners-including Sales, Regulatory, and Production-to support customer projects. Contribute to project tasks, provide technical assistance, and build your communication style by sharing ideas and updates across teams. Help manage our flavor stock libraries.

You?

  • Bachelor''s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, or related discipline
  • 2+ years of experience in the Flavor or Food industry
  • Technical skills in Beverage or Sweet Goods applications
  • Sense of taste and smell to recognize and describe flavors with accuracy
  • Enthusiastic team player who stays organized while engaging in a quick-moving atmosphere

The established salary range for this position is $65k - 75k per year. Actual compensation will depend on individual qualifications.

Education and experience partly determine Job Title and Base Salary, with our compensation program guidelines determining them.
