The Post Board Maintenance Specialist will primarily be dedicated to ensuring servicing data quality through review, validation, and resolution of post board maintenance tasks. This role is responsible for confirming that borrower, property, and loan information is accurate, properly documented, and compliant with internal procedures and source documentation.

In this role, the Post Board Maintenance Specialist will review and prioritize daily post-board task queues, research loan documentation within the imaging system, and validate servicing requests against acceptable supporting evidence. The specialist will apply approved updates within the servicing system related to borrower information, property details, mailing addresses, loan terms, and identity data, ensuring all actions are documented through required notes and logs to support audit readiness.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong quality and compliance mindset, with the ability to independently interpret mortgage and servicing documents and apply established procedures and decision frameworks. They will demonstrate sound judgment in determining when tasks can be completed, when additional documentation is required, and when escalation to another department is appropriate.

In addition, this role supports internal audits, regulatory exams, and data governance initiatives by maintaining accurate system documentation, meeting established service-level expectations, and contributing to consistent, high-quality post-boarding outcomes across Post Board Maintenance and Loan Boarding operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Post-Board data review, validating data against source documentation, and updating the servicing system as appropriate
  • Review and prioritize the daily post board task list using internal reports and spreadsheets.
  • Validate task requests by researching loan documentation in the imaging system and confirming acceptable supporting evidence.
  • Update the service system with approved changes related to borrower, property, mailing address, loan terms, and tax/identity information, following established procedures.
  • Apply required notes and logs to document actions taken and support audit readiness.
  • Close tasks accurately and timely, or route/escalate requests when documentation is insufficient or another department must complete the update.
  • Maintain clear, accurate system notes to support internal audits, regulatory exams, and data governance standards.

Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of experience in mortgage servicing, loan boarding, quality review, or loan operations (or equivalent).
  • Required, strong attention to detail and ability to follow documented procedures and decision trees.
  • Required ability to review and interpret mortgage/servicing documents (e.g., Note, Deed of Trust, modifications, ID/SSN documentation, appraisals).
  • Preferred, proficiency with Excel and comfort working from daily reports and task queues.
  • Required, strong written documentation skills and professional communication.
  • Preferred, Experience working in a mortgage servicing platform (e.g., MSP) and/or document imaging systems.
  • Preferred, Prior quality control, audit support, or exception processing experience.
