    Position Description

    Advertised Job Summary

    The postdoctoral researcher will engage with the team of undergraduate researchers, assisting them in their research and serving as a secondary mentor for any independent projects that use the host-helminth interaction data. Additionally, the postdoctoral researcher will actively use the host-helminth interaction data to address questions of ecological and public health concern.

    Job Related Minimum Required Education and Experience

    • Requires a Doctoral (Ph.D.) degree in area of research specialty by the start date of employment.

    Required Certification, Licensure/Other Credentials Preferred Qualifications Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

    • Competence in using statistical programming languages such as R, Python, or Julia.

    Analyze the host-helminth interaction data and write manuscripts for submission to peer-reviewed journals.

    Recruit, organize, and manage a team of undergraduate researchers, including onboarding, task delegation, and ongoing supervision to support project goals and research activities. Coordinate team workflows and monitor progress to ensure timely completion of assigned responsibilities.

    Develop programmatic methods to process data and extract information from HTML and PDF versions of scientific articles to partially automate the georeferencing process.
