    The Department of Urology at West Virginia University is currently accepting applications for a Post Doctoral Fellow.

    About the Opportunity

    This position will focus on clinical research for kidney cancer, and the researcher will work closely with Drs. Campbell and Hajiran in the Department of Urology. The focus will be on clinical outcomes (oncologic, functional, and morbidities) with a special focus on preexisting comorbidities (CKD, obesity, HTN, etc).

    What You'll Do

    • Assist in building database of patients who have been managed with kidney cancer over the past 15 years to support these studies in addition to benign data.
    • Work with former colleagues at the Cleveland Clinic for collaborative studies. There will be other academic activities related to kidney cancer that the staff/fellow will be able to participate in.
    • Provide mentorship with all research activities and help with manuscript preparation when needed. This role will be provided with immigration support during employment if applicable.
    • Participate in the Department of Urology conferences and other educational activities.
    • Attend meetings related to the research studies, the annual meetings of the AUA and the Society of Urologic Oncology.
    • PhD required.
    • All qualifications must be met by the time of employment.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience with RedCap is preferred, but on-site training can be provided.
    • Clinical research experience is also highly recommended.
