Description

The Computer Science Department of Carnegie Mellon University has an exciting opportunity for a Post Doctoral Fellow. The candidate will work on research at the intersection of data science and machine learning. They will:

  • Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of researchers and faculty members to design, implement, and evaluate novel machine learning and data mining algorithms and techniques.

  • Develop and maintain software tools, libraries, and datasets to support research activities.

  • Publish research findings in top-tier conferences and journals, and present work at academic andindustry events.

  • Mentor and support graduate students, and contribute to the teaching and supervision of students as required.

  • Contribute to research grant applications, project reports, and related administrative tasks.

Qualifications

PhD in Computer Science or related field required. Strong publication track record. Strong written and oral communication skills. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities; and communicate effectively in an interdisciplinary environment.
