The Talkowski Laboratory in the Center for Genomic Medicine (CGM) at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH), Harvard Medical School, and the Broad Institute is seeking exceptional postdoctoral candidates in computational biology, bioinformatics, and/or statistical genetics. Candidates would contribute to collaborative research initiatives aimed at discovering genomic variation and determining its functional impact in developmental anomalies and neuropsychiatric disorders.

Highly qualified candidates would oversee a long-read genome sequencing (lrGS) project, which aims to leverage technical advances, innovative methods, and transformative lrGS initiatives to develop a population reference database for long-read genomes (gnomAD-LR). Our goal is to enable broader lrGS adoption and improved variant interpretation, disease gene discovery, and association studies.

The candidate will be appointed as a Research Fellow at Massachusetts General Hospital, a Post-Doc at Harvard Medical School, and an Associate Scientist at the Broad Institute. At the Broad Institute, these collaborative projects span the Stanley Center for Psychiatric Research, the Program in Medical and Population Genetics, and the Data Sciences Platform. Candidates will have the opportunity to analyze large-scale genome sequencing datasets of millions of individuals over the next several years and contribute substantially to cutting-edge research initiatives.
