The E-Co-Evo Theory Lab seeks a postdoctoral researcher in theoretical ecology and modelling, specifically population models and thermal niches. The researcher will be analyzing the differences in heat tolerance, specifically optimal body temperature and critical thermal maxima, between juveniles and adults. They will be expected to use models of population dynamics and trait evolution to test out various hypotheses as to why there is this difference. The researcher should be proficient in standard mathematical modelling of population dynamics and running simulations.
In compliance with the City of Cleveland's Pay Transparency Ordinance (effective
October 27, 2025), the annual starting base salary range for this position is $55,000 -
$63,480. CWRU considers factors such as (but not limited to) the specific grant funding
and the terms of the research grant when extending an offer. Postdocs receive
individual and family healthcare benefits, life insurance, and employee assistance.
A PhD in ecology, evolutionary biology, or a related biology field is required. The researcher should be proficient in standard mathematical modelling of population dynamics and running simulations.
