Description
Required Qualifications: 1-year recent (within the last 3 years) full-time equivalent experience Graduate of an accredited nursing program. License, Certification, Registration Registered Nurse License (in the state where care is provided) Basic Life Support Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program Demonstrated ability to perform electronic fetal monitoring. Demonstrated IV Skills and ability to perform lab draws. Demonstrated knowledge of high risk medication administration (Magnesium/Oxytocin/Insulin). Demonstrated ability to perform Urine Point of Care testing. Demonstrated knowledge of capillary blood glucose testing. Demonstrated knowledge of IStat. Demonstrated ability to perform Adult Cardiac monitoring. Demonstrated knowledge of newborn monitors including pulse oximetry and cardiac monitoring. Demonstrated ability to perform heel sticks/venipuncture on newborn. Demonstrated knowledge of newborn medication including ability to perform IV administration and maintenance. Demonstrated knowledge of Bili-blankets/lights. Demonstrated knowledge of radiant warmers. Demonstrated knowledge to support gyn teaching & post-operative bladder training. Demonstrated knowledge to support maternal-newborn teaching.
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors degree in nursing or related field. Minimum three (3) years of labor and delivery experience. Minimum three (3) years of postpartum experience. Minimum one (1) year of medical/surgical nursing experience.
