Job Summary:The MPS Support & Deployment Specialist will provide frontline technical support for Media Production Suite (MPS) and related media production/post-production technologies. The role supports production workflows including media ingest, cloud uploads, dailies, and media processing. The specialist will troubleshoot and resolve issues remotely, monitor support requests, and escalate complex issues to senior team members or engineering when needed.
Depending on business needs and available headcount. The role operates within a growing 24/7 global support model, requiring participation in an on-call/pager rotation, including occasional weekend coverage.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide frontline technical support for media production and post-production technology.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to media ingest, dailies, file transfers, and media processing workflows.
- Monitor support dashboards, tickets, Slack communications, and PagerDuty notifications.
- Investigate and remotely resolve production-blocking technical issues whenever possible.
- Escalate unresolved or complex issues to senior team members or engineering.
- Support both Netflix-developed and third-party media production tools.
- Collaborate with the global support team to maintain continuous 24/7 coverage.
- Participate in an on-call/pager rotation for weekend and after-hours support.
- Learn and support new products and technologies as they are introduced into the media production ecosystem.
- Provide a strong customer-service experience by taking ownership of issues and ensuring users feel supported throughout the troubleshooting process.
- Work closely with team members to identify recurring issues and communicate trends or concerns.
Must-Have Skills:- 3+ years of relevant experience, ideally 3–5 years in a production/post-production technology environment.
- Strong experience in film, television, media production, or post-production.
- Experience as a Post-Production Engineer, Media Systems Engineer, Media Engineer, Digital Imaging Technician (DIT), Post-Production Support Engineer, or similar.
- Solid understanding of production and post-production workflows.
- Experience troubleshooting technical issues in a time-sensitive production environment.
- Ability to diagnose issues, troubleshoot remotely, and determine when escalation is required.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and ownership skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where production deadlines and technical issues can be time-sensitive.
- Willingness to participate in a 24/7 support/on-call rotation, including occasional weekend coverage.
- Ability to learn proprietary/internal tools and new technologies quickly.
