  • Model, design, manufacture, and test organ-on-a-chip and neural probe-based drug delivery platforms
  • Interface microfluidics with external pumps, electronics components, and others to operate within a cell culture chamber
  • Collaborate with biologists and others to maintain weeks to months-long cell culture experiments
  • Mentor and train graduate and undergraduate students in the lab
  • Contribute to graduate and undergraduate projects in neural probe-based drug delivery, microfluidics manufacturing, and point-of-care device development
  • Write journal articles and conference submissions as needed by the PI
  • Present research at external conferences. Some travel is required.
  • Doctorate in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related discipline
  • Experience with microfluidic device modeling, design, fabrication and testing
  • strong written and oral communication skills
  • Abillity to work independently and collaboratively
  • Strong CAD skills in SolidWorks, AutoCAD or related programs
  • Strong coding and data analyisis skills using Matlab or similar programs
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with organ-on-a-chip and / or organoid platforms
  • Experience working with cell or tissue culture
