Job Duty
Contribute to the development and implementation of cost-effectiveness and long-term health-outcomes models for interventions examined by the PROLONG and ANTENATAL studies. Responsibilities will include identifying and organizing model inputs; reconstructing intervention, healthcare, and implementation costs; translating findings from clinical studies, systematic reviews, and observational data into model parameters; assisting with model programming, calibration, validation, and documentation; conducting deterministic and probabilistic sensitivity analyses; and interpreting the projected health and economic consequences of alternative intervention and policy scenarios. The individual will work with the study investigators and other modeling team members to ensure that assumptions, data inputs, and analytic decisions are transparent and scientifically defensible.
Essential Function Yes Percentage of Time 30% Job Duty
Manage and analyze complex longitudinal, clinical, and population-health datasets using appropriate epidemiologic and statistical methods. For ANTENATAL, responsibilities may include analyzing longitudinal dental electronic health record data to examine periodontal status, treatment and maintenance histories, and subsequent tooth-loss or tooth-retention outcomes among women of reproductive age. For PROLONG, responsibilities may include analyzing intervention-effectiveness, implementation, cost, and population-subgroup data relevant to physical-activity and nutrition interventions. Additional responsibilities will include preparing analytic datasets, assessing data quality and missingness, developing reproducible statistical code, conducting descriptive and multivariable analyses, interpreting findings, preparing tables and figures, and documenting methods and results for scientific dissemination.
Essential Function Yes Percentage of Time 25% Job Duty
Lead or contribute substantially to manuscripts arising from both studies, including papers on intervention effectiveness, health disparities, maternal and oral health outcomes, implementation, economic evaluation, and long-term outcome projections. Responsibilities will include conducting targeted literature reviews, developing manuscript outlines, drafting and revising scientific text, preparing methods and results sections, creating tables and figures, responding to coauthor and peer-review comments, and coordinating manuscripts through submission. The individual may also contribute to research reports, abstracts, conference presentations, progress reports, and sections of grant applications or renewal materials.
Essential Function Yes Percentage of Time 20% Job Duty
Conduct structured evidence reviews to support intervention-effectiveness estimates, intervention characterization, cost reconstruction, and model development. For PROLONG, responsibilities may include screening studies of physical-activity, nutrition, and combined lifestyle interventions; extracting information on study populations, intervention components and dose, outcomes, implementation resources, and costs; assessing study quality; and contributing to quantitative or narrative evidence synthesis. The individual will assist with maintaining review protocols, PROSPERO records, Covidence workflows, evidence tables, decision logs, and other reproducible review documentation. Related responsibilities may also include targeted evidence reviews needed to inform ANTENATAL analyses and economic-model assumptions.
Essential Function Yes Percentage of Time 15% Job Duty

Responsibilities will include maintaining project timelines and task documentation; preparing agendas, summaries, and materials for internal and external meetings; tracking analytic, manuscript, and evidence-review deliverables; coordinating with faculty investigators, statisticians, research staff, students, and external data partners; and following up on action items. The individual will also help maintain organized documentation of data definitions, analytic decisions, model assumptions, review procedures, and study outputs to support collaboration, reproducibility, and compliance with project requirements.
