Postdoctoral positions are available immediately to work in the area of DNA damage repair and cancer biology. Under the direction of Principal Investigator, you will assist the Principal Investigator and other Faculty members with scientific research projects. Key functions are to perform research projects related to target DNA damage repair and cancer biology. Develop new strategies and tools to study the roles and mechanism of tumor suppressor genes and oncogenes in DNA repair and other signaling pathways involved in tumor initiation, progression, and metastasis. Develop and maintain research projects, comprehend the relevance of results, and integrate research data. Identify and solve problems relating to job responsibilities utilizing knowledge and experience. You will function in a separate and independent manner in the design and initiation of research experiments. You will design, develop, or adapt equipment used in experiments or research to obtain desired results. You will determine specific goals or objectives to be obtained, evaluate research data, and develop and revise techniques or approaches to work problems. Write manuscripts, grant applications, and progress reports. Perform lab duties, maintain lab equipment, stock, and materials, and help with lab operation and maintenance.

Applicants must hold a recent PhD (including PhD candidates) or equivalent doctorate who is seeking a temporary appointment, under the supervision of a faculty mentor, involving full-time laboratory-based research or scholarship in preparation for an academic or research career as an independent investigator.

Position Information
MD Anderson offers full-time postdoc positions with a salary ranging from $64,000 to $76,000, depending on the number of years of postgraduate experience. Work Arrangements
Offsite work arrangements are subject to approval and may be modified or revoked at any time based on business needs, performance considerations, or regulatory requirements.
