Description:Emory Global Diabetes Research Center and the Emory AI and Causal Lab are recruiting a Postdoctoral Associate to conduct research in machine learning, pharmacoepidemiology, trial emulation, and EHR data science. The candidate will use major EHR and real-world data platforms, including Epic Cosmos, VA data, and the UK Biobank, to conduct comparative effectiveness studies in diabetes. The candidate will also apply machine learning and causal AI methods to investigate treatment heterogeneity and generate evidence to support precision medicine. The position offers opportunities to propose novel research ideas in diabetes, collaborate with faculty in the Emory Global Diabetes Research Center, and develop projects and grant proposals.
The Postdoctoral Associate will work under the supervision of Dr. Hui Shao and collaborate with outstanding faculty, postdoctoral associates, and research staff across the center, department, and school. Dr. Shao’s team is seeking a highly motivated researcher with strong quantitative training.
