A postdoctoral training position is available in the laboratory of Daniel Kober in the department of Biochemistry at UT Southwestern Medical Center. Our lab investigates the structural and functional basis for the maturation and activation of proprotein convertases (PCSKs), serine proteases in the secretory system that play important roles throughout physiology and metabolism. The postdoc will carry out mechanistic studies of PCSK activation and maturation using interdisciplinary structure-function approaches. Examples of our work in this field can be found in our recent publications in PNAS and Nature Communications (PMID: 40299693 and 38977690).
