Pouch Machine Operator
Day Shift 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM
POSITION SUMMARY:
To properly operate equipment from a safety, quality, and efficiency perspective, while maintaining the cleanliness of all equipment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Must be able to operate multiple pieces of equipment, which may include W25-1 & 2, Cryovac, L24, BIB, 12-up fillers, and 6-up fillers.
- Follow all safety protocols, including lockout/tagout; identify emergency stops and pinch points.
- Must be able to pass training/certifications as required for qualification.
- Load film carts and rolls correctly; monitor and adjust for continuous operation.
- Must be able to perform weight adjustments to maintain proper product weight.
- Must be able to fully and accurately document line production by filling out inspection records/downtime sheets as well as metal detection information.
- Must be able to disassemble production equipment: clean, rinse, and sanitize all product contact machinery utilizing proper cleaning utensils, chemicals, and COP (Clean Out of Place) process.

WHAT YOU''LL NEED
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or GED.
- 1-3 months of experience in manufacturing or a similar setting, or equivalent training.
Skills & Competencies
- Read and follow production documents and safety instructions.
- Complete written logs clearly and accurately.
- Communicate effectively with peers and supervisors.
- Use basic math and apply simple problem-solving under time constraints.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including standing/walking up to 8 hours per shift.
- Frequently bend, twist, reach overhead, grip tools, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Frequently required to climb up and down a ladder.
- Push carts requiring 25 lbs of force for distances up to 100 feet.
- Work in wet, humid, high-noise environments near moving machinery.
- Use cleaning chemicals and perform tasks involving segmental or whole-body vibration.
Pay & Benefits
Pay Range (Base Pay): $22.00/hr. - $24.95/hr.
Other Compensation: May include shift differentials, overtime pay, bonuses, or other incentive pay as applicable to the position and location.
