Do you estimate the way crews build?
If you thrive on turning drawings into buildable plans that respect field realities, this role is for you. At Re:Build Optimation, you’ll translate electrical design intent into clear costs, schedules, and strategies that help our teams deliver complex industrial projects with confidence.
Our mission and platform
We design and deliver custom process equipment and automated systems for clients worldwide. Nearly 40 years in complex chemical process work have honed our precision and reliability. Backed by Re:Build Manufacturing, we pair national scale with a specialized team of 70+ engineers, designers, and programmers, plus 150,000 square feet of fabrication and 70+ skilled tradespeople to execute turnkey—from concept through fabrication, installation, and commissioning—across energy (traditional and green), chemicals, pharmaceuticals, food & beverage, glass, and advanced manufacturing.
What success looks like
- You break down bid packages and build comprehensive estimates covering labor, materials, equipment, and subcontract scopes.
- You perform rigorous takeoffs from electrical drawings/schematics, P&IDs, and multi-view/isometric drawings.
- You confirm scope through site walks and client walkthroughs and factor constraints into means and methods.
- You coordinate with construction managers, engineers, and field electricians to validate constructability.
- You verify specifications and pricing with manufacturers and vendors.
- You engage inspectors and AHJs so permitting and compliance are reflected in the numbers.
- You specify and source wiring, conduit, fittings, and control systems; manage quotes and delivery planning.
- You assist with schedule alignment, labor planning, and cost tracking for project teams.
- You apply NEC/NFPA 70 and OSHA 29 CFR 1926 and include LOTO, arc-flash, and site-specific safety provisions.
- You continuously refine accuracy, standard methods, and cost efficiency, documenting assumptions clearly.

- Experience with estimating tools and Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook; AutoCAD or SolidWorks a plus.
- Exceptional organization, attention to detail, analytical mindset; strong communicator and collaborator.
