    Job Title: Power BI Developer & Analytics Engineer

    Client Freestyle Data Science & Analytics Team

    Experience Requirements:

    The ideal candidate will bring 2 5 years of relevant professional experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, Analytics Engineering, or Data Engineering, with hands-on expertise in Power BI, SQL, and modern data platforms. Experience supporting enterprise reporting environments, semantic models, and data pipelines is highly preferred.


    Work Schedule:

    This position requires on-site presence five days per week.

    Contract Duration: This role is structured as a contract assignment of up to 18 months.

    Key Responsibilities and Technical Contributions:

    The candidate will play a critical role in supporting business insights, reporting modernization efforts, data engineering activities, and knowledge transfer for Freestyle analytics platforms.


    Key responsibilities include:

    " Designing, developing, and maintaining interactive Power BI dashboards and reports that communicate key business and operational metrics

    " Building, optimizing, and supporting Power BI semantic models, measures, calculations, and row-level security (RLS)

    " Leveraging DAX, Power Query (M), SQL, and data modeling techniques to create scalable and reusable analytical solutions

    " Supporting data engineering activities, including data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, data validation, troubleshooting, and migration efforts

    " Partnering with business stakeholders to gather requirements, translate business needs into technical solutions, and deliver actionable insights

    " Supporting ongoing reporting and analytics modernization initiatives, including Redshift and Microsoft Fabric-related activities

    " Assisting with production support, root cause analysis, data reconciliation, and issue resolution across reporting and analytical platforms

    " Creating and maintaining documentation for dashboards, data models, pipelines, business logic, and operational processes

    " Participating in knowledge transfer activities to ensure continuity of critical reporting, analytics, and data engineering capabilities

    Top Required Skills and Competencies:

    " Strong Power BI experience, including dashboard development, data modeling, DAX, Power Query (M), semantic models, and report optimization

    " Experience implementing and supporting Row-Level Security (RLS)

    " Strong SQL skills, including querying, data validation, troubleshooting, and performance optimization

    " Experience working with enterprise data platforms such as Amazon Redshift, Microsoft Fabric, Azure SQL, Azure Data Factory, Synapse, Databricks, or similar technologies

    " Understanding of analytics engineering, data warehousing, and ETL/ELT concepts

    " Experience troubleshooting data quality issues and supporting production reporting environments

    " Familiarity with Artificial Intelligence (AI), predictive analytics, and how modern analytics platforms support AI use cases


    Preferred Skills:

    " Microsoft Fabric experience including Lakehouse, Warehouse, Semantic Models, and Data Factory components

    " Experience supporting connected equipment, IoT, telemetry, operational, or high-volume event data

    " Experience with Python, Spark, or automation scripting

    " Experience supporting data migrations and platform modernization initiatives

    The Power BI Developer & Analytics Engineer will play a key role on the Freestyle Data Science & Analytics team, responsible for transforming complex datasets into actionable insights through interactive Power BI dashboards while also supporting underlying data engineering and analytics infrastructure.
    This role is instrumental in enabling data-driven decision-making across cross-functional teams and ensuring continuity of critical reporting and analytics capabilities.

    Key Responsibilities

    " Power BI Development: Design, develop, maintain, and optimize interactive Power BI dashboards and reports supporting sales, engineering, operations, product, and digital teams.

    " Semantic Modeling: Develop and maintain semantic models, DAX measures, business KPIs, and row-level security configurations.

    " Analytics Engineering: Build and maintain reusable datasets, data marts, and scalable analytical models for reporting and business consumption.

    " Data Engineering Support: Assist with data pipeline development, ETL/ELT processes, data validation, migration activities, and troubleshooting of analytical data flows.

    " Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements, translate them into technical solutions, and deliver actionable insights.

    " Reporting & Analysis: Generate recurring and ad hoc reporting to drive business decisions and performance management.

    " Production Support: Troubleshoot data quality issues, report discrepancies, platform issues, and refresh failures.

    " Documentation & Knowledge Transfer: Maintain comprehensive documentation of data workflows, schemas, pipelines, business logic, semantic models, and dashboard functionality while supporting knowledge transfer activities.
