Power BI Developer

Fully Remote | Contract
We are seeking an experienced Power BI Developer to design, build, and deploy high-performance business intelligence solutions and enterprise dashboards. In this contract role, you will partner directly with key business stakeholders to transform complex raw data into actionable visual insights, optimize DAX calculations, and streamline reporting workflows.

Key Responsibilities

• Dashboard & Report Development: Design, develop, and maintain complex, interactive Power BI reports and user-friendly dashboards tailored to client specifications.

• Data Modeling & Querying: Build robust tabular data models, clean and transform data using Power Query (M), and write optimized DAX formulas for complex measures and aggregations.

• Data Integration & ETL: Integrate data from disparate enterprise sources (SQL databases, cloud platforms, Excel, flat files) to maintain seamless reporting pipelines.

• Performance Optimization: Troubleshoot and optimize existing reports, data models, and queries to ensure fast refresh rates and minimal query latency.

• Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with business users and technical teams to gather report specifications, map metrics, and translate business logic into analytics.

Required Qualifications

• Core BI Expertise: 4+ years of hands-on experience designing and delivering enterprise reporting solutions with Power BI .

• Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in DAX , Power Query (M) , and SQL query writing.

• Data Modeling: Proven track record in data modeling, star schema design, and dimensional structures.

• Problem Solving: Ability to work independently in a fast-paced contract environment, driving deliverables with minimal supervision.

Preferred / Bonus Qualifications

• TIBCO Spotfire: Prior experience developing interactive dashboards or analytics in TIBCO Spotfire is a strong plus.

• Enterprise Ecosystems: Experience working across hybrid reporting environments or migrating legacy reports to Power BI.
