Day in the Life
Step into our Des Moines, IA 50321 facility and help bring complex power systems to life. As a Power Distribution Switchboard Builder, you’ll turn detailed plans into fully assembled, installed, maintained, and repaired electrical switchboards and related equipment. You’ll work alongside a supportive team in a fast-moving environment where safety, precision, and clear communication matter every day.
What You’ll Tackle
- Assemble electrical switchboards and control panels from drawings and specifications.
- Assist with installation, maintenance, and repair of switchboards and associated components.
- Coordinate with teammates and cross-functional groups to keep production flowing smoothly.
- Follow all safety procedures and electrical regulations without compromise.
- Document your work carefully and maintain accurate service and maintenance records.
- Stay current on tools, methods, and advances in electrical technology.
What You Bring
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an electrical apprenticeship program preferred.
- Entry-level friendly; training will be provided.
- A solid, reliable work history and commitment to quality.
- Strong problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and contribute effectively to a team.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in blueprint reading.
