Power Electronic Quality Control Inspector - Electrical Manufacturing

Are you an experienced Quality Control Inspector with electrical knowledge looking for a long-term opportunity in the Katy/Brookshire area? Join a globally recognized manufacturing company offering stablehours, and competitive pay.

This role is ideal for candidates with experience in electrical testing, manufacturing inspection, or ISO-regulated environments.

Pay & Work Schedule:
  • Days: $22/hour - Monday-Friday, 6 AM - 2:30 PM
Overtime: Optional weekend hours available

Key Responsibilities
Perform quality inspections at pre-power, in-process, and final stages
Inspect electrical and mechanical components for defects, damage, and compliance
Read and verify engineering drawings, schematics, and work instructions
Accurately complete and review quality documentation and inspection reports
Identify and document non-conforming products (NCPs)
Partner with production, quality, and engineering teams to resolve issues quickly
Follow ISO standards, safety procedures, and quality guidelines
Use tools such as digital multimeters, tape measures, and hand tools daily

Qualifications
3 years of quality control or inspection experience in manufacturing
Experience working with electrical systems or components preferred
Ability to read electrical and mechanical schematics
Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 or similar quality systems is a plus
Basic computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook)
Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Qualified candidates are expected to be familiar with measurement tools such as;
  • Micrometers, calipers, height gauges, pin gauges, thread gauges, and optical comparators.
  • Proper measurement technique-calibration verification, cleaning procedures, appropriate measuring force, and taking multiple readings for consistency.
  • Coordinate measuring machines-can write basic inspection programs, perform part setup and alignment, and interpret CMM reports.
  • Vision systems for automated inspection, surface roughness testers, and hardness testers
  • First-article inspection of new parts and in-process statistical sampling.
  • Importance of measurement uncertainty and using the right tool for the tolerance requirements-you don't use a tape measure for a ±0.001? tolerance.
  • Maintain inspection equipment properly and understand gage R&R studies to verify measurement system capability.
