We are seeking individuals with expertise in Electrical Engineering, specifically tuned to power systems engineering, ready to contribute to the creation of cutting-edge technologies including electromechanical actuation, autonomous underwater vehicles, and high-power acoustic systems.
Your academic background should include a BS, MS, or PhD focused on power systems design, complemented by practical experience in the conception, implementation, and validation of high-voltage/power components for R&D prototypes. Key technical capabilities desired include designing energy storage systems, DC/DC converters, amplifiers, and magnetic components, alongside hands-on board layout experience.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Development and troubleshooting of sophisticated power electronics
- Site testing support involving modest travel commitments (up to 25%)
**Essential Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering with a focus on power systems
- At least 4 years of practice in power system design or 1 year with a Masters
- Mastery of circuit analysis, component selection, and PCB design verification
- Proven skills in designing DC/DC and AC/DC power systems for challenging conditions
- Experience with reliable power supplies and failover mechanisms
- Deep understanding of semiconductor devices such as MOSFETs and IGBTs
- Comfort in working with laboratory test equipment and fundamental understanding of MATLAB
**Preferred Proficiencies**
- Past involvement in underwater maritime electronics development
- Knowledgeable in electronic machine and drive design
- Experienced in managing electronic design processes, from layout to assembly
- Skilled in articulating technical concepts for new product and business development
- Comfortable with mentoring junior engineers and presenting to clients
- Coding experience in C/C++ or Python for embedded systems is a plus
This role can be based in Groton, CT or Concord, MA, with full relocation support available.
