Power Electronics Validation, Verification & Reliability Engineer (Test Lab Manager)
Location: Franksville, WI (Onsite)
Overview
Join a growing engineering organization developing next-generation power electronics products for industrial and new energy applications. This position will lead the validation, verification, and reliability efforts for advanced power conversion technologies, including DC/DC converters, variable frequency drives, renewable energy systems, and other high-power electronic products.
This is a highly visible role that combines hands-on testing, product validation, reliability engineering, and laboratory leadership. The engineer will own the validation strategy from requirements through qualification testing while building and managing a world-class product test laboratory.
Key Responsibilities
Validation & Verification
Test Execution & Analysis
Design and execute qualification testing for power electronics products including:
Electrical performance testing
Thermal validation and characterization
Environmental testing
Reliability and accelerated life testing
Safety and dielectric testing
Communication and controls verification
Analyze test data, conduct root cause investigations, and document results.
Generate validation reports for engineering, customers, and regulatory requirements.
Test Lab Management
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Required Qualifications
Bachelor"s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
5+ years of experience in power electronics validation, test engineering, reliability engineering, or related areas.
Experience developing Design Validation Plans (DVPs) and leading DFMEA activities.
Strong background testing power conversion products such as:
Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)
Inverters
DC/DC Converters
Power Supplies
Industrial Power Electronics
Experience using power analyzers, oscilloscopes, programmable power sources, electronic loads, thermal cameras, and related laboratory equipment.
Strong technical writing, documentation, and data analysis skills.
Experience leading projects and working with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
