    Position Specific Description

    This role is based at our Jim Robo Campus in Palm Beach Gardens, FL. The position follows a 12‑hour shift schedule, involves minimal travel, and includes required overtime to support operational needs.

    Job Overview

    This is a Power Generation Division multifunctional classification that combines leadership skills and the skills of a plant control center operator with that of a maintenance technician discipline. This individual provides real time surveillance and operation/ control of all control room systems and plant equipment for multiple sites. This position will report to a supervisor.

    Minimum Requirements for the job:

    • Must have successfully held or currently hold the position of Production Leader, Shift Technician, Production Specialist, or similar industry position.
    • Must have successfully been, or currently, be qualified to operate a control center. These qualifications must have been held for a minimum of one year.

    Basic Accountabilities:

    • Responsible for the operation of multiple sites. , This position monitors performance and operating characteristics, identifies equipment deficiencies, takes necessary action to prevent or limit failure, and optimizes efficiency of multiple sites.
    • Utilizes effective communication while providing direction and leadership to multiple site operations shift teams to ensure safe and reliable operation of multiple sites and sites equipment.
    • Completes appropriate documentation for accuracy of accounting and/ or equipment history.
    • Functions as designed in support of other classifications and their respective accountability.
    • Must be able to complete the PGS training requirements.
    • Must be able to work a variety of hours / days due to continuously rotating shifts
    • Issue and assist with executing the in-plant clearances and assist with executing BES switching orders as required.
    • Performs associated responsibilities according to established safe work practices and the Memorandum of Agreement.

    Required Qualifications

    • Must have successfully held or currently hold the position of Production Leader, Shift Technician, Production Specialist, or similar industry position.
    • Must have successfully been, or currently, be qualified to operate a control center. These qualifications must have been held for a minimum of one year.
    • Successfully passed Plant Maintenance Positions Selection Systems (MASS)
