Position Specific Description

The PGD Technical Services Manager for Wind Reliability provides strategic leadership and technical oversight for the Power Generation Divisions wind fleet reliability functions within the EOSS organization. This role drives operational excellence across three Centers of Excellence focused on Prediction & Prevention, Performance & Data Infrastructure, and Asset Reliability. The overall team leverages predictive analytics, data-driven insights, and AI-enabled tools to maximize fleet performance, reduce downtime, and support long-term asset health. The manager champions innovation, team development, and cross-functional collaboration to advance the reliability strategy across NextEras wind portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop high-performing Centers of Excellence spanning predictive analytics, downtime reporting, budget forecasting, and asset reliability
  • Drive strategy and execution of wind fleet reliability programs including predictive modeling, failure analysis, and performance optimization
  • Champion AI adoption, automation, and digital transformation initiatives to enhance fleet reliability and operational efficiency
  • Oversee compliance programs, cybersecurity hygiene, and regulatory reporting (e.g., GADS, EOP-12) requirements
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Fleet Engineering, Operations, Quantum, Controls, Center of Work Excellence, and other Data & Analytics teams to align on priorities and deliver results
  • Develop and mentor team members across multiple disciplines, fostering a culture of growth, accountability, and innovation
  • Communicate complex technical findings clearly to executive leadership and key stakeholders
  • Lead continuous improvement efforts including Belt projects, process standardization, and lessons-learned integration
  • Support budget planning and forecasting including failure count budgets, ABF enhancements, and Monte Carlo analytics
  • Present monthly reports to executive leadership on fleet performance, team initiatives, and special topics

The Ideal Candidate Would Have The Following:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Data Science, Atmospheric Science, or a related technical field
  • 5+ years of relevant technical experience in power generation, asset reliability, or data analytics
  • Previous leadership or people management experience
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with demonstrated ability to translate data into actionable insights
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including executive-level presentation experience
  • Masters degree in a technical or quantitative field
  • Experience with predictive analytics platforms, SCADA systems, or wind turbine reliability engineering
  • Lean/Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or higher)
  • Familiarity with wind energy asset management, LGIA limits, curtailment programs, or OEM maintenance frameworks
