We are looking for a Service Manager in Ridgefield Park, NJ area on behalf of a leader in the critical power industry. You will lead a major maintenance enterprise. This is a high-stakes, fast-paced, and highly rewarding leadership position. You will have direct operational control over a premier shop and field service operation, supervising and mentoring a dedicated team of over 15 high-performing shop and union field technicians.

Job Requirements:
- Supervise, mentor, and coach 15+ shop and field service technicians (including union members). Rebuild a positive, productive culture focused on professional growth, high-quality standards, and accountability.
- Manage day-to-day fleet availability, diagnostic queues, preventive maintenance (PM) compliance, work order accounting, and dispatch of field technicians.
- Build strong client partnerships by ensuring timely and reliable service delivery. Partner closely with the Outside Sales team.
- Oversee shop operational expenses, optimize parts inventory, manage maintenance P&L, and measure key service performance metrics.
- Ensure prompt and seamless team mobilization for emergency power outages on 24/7 on call.
Job Qualifications:
- 5 to 10 years of direct operations, field service, or shop management experience, with a successful track record of leading, mentoring, and growing teams of 15+ technicians.
- Strong background in diesel mechanics, heavy equipment, electrical systems, generators, or industrial commercial HVAC/chiller systems.
- Solid understanding of maintenance accounting, work order administration, warranty processes, and P&L/expense management.
- Direct experience managing union field or shop technicians is highly preferred, though not strictly required
